I absolutely loved Krakow. It was my first "European" city complete with cobbled streets, music in the square, gelato on the corner. In addition to Old Town which is surrounded by a moat that used to be a park the city houses fascinating salt mines, a showcase Communist community, access to Auschwitz-Birkenau and a Jewish Quarter that is chillingly empty. For all these, see Poland photos.
